Education System 

It is not a surprise that the better the neighborhood, the better the school. Excellent quality education is a big selling point for those looking for a house. The fact that it is a thing should be questioned. Why should the amount of money you have or the race you are affect how good your education is? Proper education should be a right for everyone, not a privilege. The unfairness of the education system is a social injustice which makes it a political problem. The access to opportunities and resources should be equal for everyone, everywhere. The lack of quality education because of race or income makes it harder for the underprivileged to be able to succeed.  

Poor education affects quality of life, and it comes with risks. According to Society Health, “People with less education, particularly males, are more likely to be incarcerated, which carries its own public health risks.” This shows how having less education results in there being more criminals which makes neighborhoods more unsafe. Having these higher crime rates leads to health risks such as increased stress and the chance of trauma from violence. Better education affects more than what we learn, it affects our community and our everyday lives. 

In addition to our health, our education plays a key role in being successful and having a stable life. Habitat for Humanity says that “When people are educated, they can significantly contribute to their families and society in various aspects and fields, thus creating a stable and stimulating community.” Your education as a child and how well you do determine what college you go to and if you go. Having an enjoyable experience and succeeding in college significantly increases how good your job is. Having a good and stable job allows you to have a comfortable lifestyle. 

There needs to be a change in the quality of education available everywhere. There should not be a change in education based on how good your income is and if you live in an underprivileged community. There needs to be an equal chance to be successful for everyone. We all deserve to live a happy and healthy life.
